About the Role
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) experience to join our software development team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions, spanning from an embedded platform to the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and execute automated test suites for software components and systems.
- Develop and maintain test frameworks and infrastructure using Python, C# or NodeJS.
- Integrate software with hardware systems, including HIL setups.
- Work closely with software developers to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
- Plan, design and build physical test systems and upgrade existing setups
- Develop and maintain test documentation and reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools.
- Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
Required Skills:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C#, NodeJS.
- Experience with hardware integration and automation (e.g., CAN, Modbus).
- Experience in building physical test systems
- Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Linux systems administration.
- Experience with CI/CD and build automation with GitHub Actions
- Experience with automated web ui testing.
- Experience with embedded software development.
- Good understanding of batteries
- ISTQB certifications is a merit.
- Knowledge of specific industry standards or regulations.
